This page explains what information this website handles when you visit it, and what it does not. It describes how the site is actually built.

Does this site collect my personal details?

No. Endocrinology India has no accounts, no sign-ups, no comment boxes and no forms. It never asks for your name, phone number, email address or health details.

The tools, such as the BMI calculator and the thyroid report reader, do their calculations inside your own browser. The numbers you type in are not sent to us or stored by this site.

Does the site use analytics?

The site may use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. It is used only if it has been switched on for the site. When it is on:

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses;
Google signals and advertising personalisation are turned off, so visits here are not used to target ads at you;
it records one custom event, when someone clicks a “Book consultation” button, so we can see which pages lead people to book. That event records only which page the button was on;
Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. You can block or clear these through your browser settings or a browser add-on, and the site will work normally.

If Google Analytics is not switched on, no analytics code is loaded at all.

What about YouTube videos?

Videos are shown with a click-to-play preview. Until you press play, the page shows only a preview picture, which your browser fetches from YouTube’s image server. When you press play, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. From that point, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to the video.

What about the map?

The map of AB Plus Hospital on the book a consultation page loads only when you click “Show map”. Until then, nothing is fetched from Google Maps. Once loaded, Google’s privacy policy applies. The “Open in Google Maps” link simply takes you to Google Maps.

What happens when I book a consultation?

Booking does not happen on this site. The “Book consultation” buttons take you to consult.dromlakhani.com, a separate booking website, which has its own privacy policy. Any details you enter there are handled by that service, not by this site. The booking links include a small tag naming the page you came from (for example, the thyroid guide), so we can tell which pages are useful. The tag contains nothing about you.

Is anything else recorded?

Like almost every website, the site is served by a hosting provider whose servers process basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Apart from the YouTube preview pictures described above, the site’s fonts and images are served from the same host, not from font or advertising networks.

What about my rights?

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives people rights over their personal data. Because this site does not ask for your personal details, it holds very little about you.
